@Braquo it is really, really unhelpful when people post on here, don't get an answer within 72 hours, and then pay the PCN. We have no paid staff and have to post as and when time allows. You likely had until Thursday next week to pay the discount so you clearly jumped the gun.

That being said, because you have a formal notice of rejection you can still appeal notwithstanding the fact that you've paid, and the glaringly obvious argument is that the mandatory white arrow on the blue sign pointing to the right could be misinterpreted as applying to traffic coming out of the side road. Contorted with a confusing pair of signs, you were not given clear guidance by the highway authority and as such, the alleged contravention did not occur. If you win the appeal Camden will refund your payment.

The question for you is now whether you wish to pursue this or whether you're happy for Camden to simply pocket the money.

There is also a NRT sign as you approach the T-junction

So, a sign as you approach, plus another one opposite.

Signs to warn about camera enforcement are not required, you are supposed to drive in accordance with the signs.  Did you just decide to chance your arm, or genuinely miss the signs ? The sign on approach could have been obscured by a large vehicle, as could the sign on the opposite side of the road.

Please post up the PCN, (all sides, with name and address redacted), plus your reps and their response. If you're to have any hope of a win here, we need to see everything. There may also be a camera certification issue.

Alleged contravention:
Turned right on a non right turn road
There was a round sign with the line through a right turn - but no signs to say cameras, or that if you make a mistake and turn right , you will get fined!


Status:
Appeal to Camden Council rejected.  I now have 14 days to pay at the reduced rate of £65
