yes, the OP should challenge saying they made a simple error and they believe the council has a policy of forgiving the first such error, please exercise it

As this is a Council Penalty, you need to request that this is moved to the appropriate forum.

My dad got a PCN for not paying for his parking, but it seems he put in the wrong license plate. See his explanation below:

I parked and paid the fee for parking.
Unfortunately the number plate was written wrong on the parking app.
The letters are correct but the figures were changed around, 86 instead of 68


He of course wants to appeal as this was an accident and he has proof that he paid for the parking. What is the best way to appeal this? Would they be understanding of this mishap? Thanks
