Well done. Not often do we see cancellation after informal challenges.

Hi

Thank you very much for your guidance, The cancel the ticket.
Your help is highly appreciated.

Sorry, your reply is not clear. Do you mean they have cancelled the PCN after you submitted representations ?

@Avrumy the relevant legislation is section 85 of the Traffic Management Act 2004 (https://www.legislation.gov.uk/ukpga/2004/18/section/85), it comes with a number of exceptions and section 85(4) provides that:

(4) The third exception is where—

(a) the vehicle is being used for the purposes of delivering goods to, or collecting goods from, any premises, or is being loaded from or unloaded to any premises,
(b) the delivery, collection, loading or unloading cannot reasonably be carried out in relation to those premises without the vehicle being parked as mentioned in subsection (1), and
(c) the vehicle is so parked for no longer than is necessary and for no more than 20 minutes.

So, what sort of goods were you loading and what sort of paperwork do you have? Invoices, delivery notes, anything like that?

Hi

I will appreciate if you can advice me how to appeal the attached ticket.
I was loading the van, and as there was no parking available, I doubled parked.
On what base can I appeal this ticket?

Kind regards
