Title: Re: PCN (Redbridge) Stopped on a restricted bus stop or stand (High Street - Barkingside)

Had this back from the council:

CV model: P3375-VE CV Make: Axis
CUV model: Q1765-LE CUV Make: Axis
POE model: T8504-E POE make: Axis

There's an arguable point to be made that the certificate they have does not cover any of these cameras.

That being said it seems the PCN has been paid, so that's the end of the matter.

Yes, the video does not seem fully to support the OP's narrative.

Well I'm not sure your case on the facts really stacks up:

Can you go back here (https://maps.app.goo.gl/d3XXkcVmQGvUMuT6A) (without getting another PCN) and check if the yellow plate is still there?

One argument that should work with Redbridge is the camera authorisation point, so I'll make the necessary enquiries.

As I understand your narrative, you stopped and waited whilst a motorist reversed out of a space on the opposite side of the road, and you then moved across to park. Nobody boarded or alighted from your car. This is what I would call an "in traffic manoevre", and you should submit representations on that basis. There has been a recent successful case on this forum recently on this subject, but I can't remember where, sorry ! Others will more knowledgeable will hopefully soon contribute. The only downside is that councils refuse over 95% of representations, because they know most people then just pay-up, not being up-to-speed on the law. Also if you do take them to adjudication at London Tribunals it would be with the full PCN penalty in play, no discount option.

Hi Team,
I am surprised that I have been give the ticket. The ticket is given on the 13/02/2024 at 20:23 in the evening where the weather was drizzling and I was with my family enroute to get medicine for my little one from the chemist which is roughly opposite to the place where the contravention took place. I was driving and there are parking spaces just outside the store on the opposite side of the road and I was waiting on this side unknowingly that it is a bus stop where you are unable to stop and there was no sign of any bus that i was obstructing, I took this side and then was waiting and indicating to go to the other side of the road to go and park while there was a car on the other side of the road reversing and i was waiting for the road to clear and park which i did quite sure in less than a minute. I took the medicine as well from the opposite pharmacy for which i will be able to provide card payment.
