If you have screenshots of a glitch that may help. What time was the extension 'started' - you usually can't extend a session after it's expired.
+1
Most extension facilities that I have experienced require the session to be extended to still be running.

Hi all,
I’ve received a Merton Council PCN for Hartfield Road Car Park, Wimbledon and wanted to get your views on whether it is worth challenging.
The vehicle had a valid RingGo session from 15:56 to 16:56 on 15/08/2026. The driver says they realised they needed longer and tried to extend the parking by another 30 minutes in the RingGo app, and believed it had gone through.
However, it appears the extension did not actually complete. The PCN was then issued at 17:30 for:
Code 82u – Parked After The Expiry Of Paid For Time
So the PCN was issued around 34 minutes after the original session expired.
The original parking was definitely paid for and I have the RingGo receipt.
Would there be any grounds to challenge this beyond simply asking the council to exercise discretion because the driver genuinely attempted to extend the session and thought it had been successful?
