Looking at it again, the date of the notice was 7/8/26, and it can go up by 50% if not paid within 28 days. Doesn't that mean the deadline was yesterday?

7th is deadline. There is a hearing next week on the very same issue. I shall add it to my Flame Pit thread re observations.

Been busy with JR stuff so I will get back into the normal swing of things tomorrow and advise.

Thank you Incandescent. Should I copy the argument against the similar case (https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/southwark-failing-to-comply-with-a-prohibition-52m-rye-lane-junction-copeland-ro/msg78130/?topicseen#msg78130)? I don't know if it's identical because the image doesn't show for me.
<br>
<br>
1. The statement under the picture on the PCN “If full payment has not been made
before the end of the period of 28 days beginning with the date of this notice, a
Charge Certificate may be issued increasing the amount outstanding by 50% to
£240.00” is wrong as it flies in the face of the law. Schedule I @ paras. 5(1) and (2)(a) states from the date of service.
<br>
<br>
2. Your website threatens an increase even before I have made any representations and the dates are wholly wrong.
<br>
<br>
3. The signage is inadequate as there is only one terminal sign which is easily missed. In this respect, I use the ground the contravention did not occur.
<br>
<br>
In light of all the above, please cancel the PCN.

The 14 day reduction period finishes tomorrow, should I go back to them today and say they can't serve a charge notice 28 days after the incident?
28 days from date of PCN

This is the first time I've come across this forum and I'm so glad I did! Fingers crossed you can work your magic on my PCN.

I was driving my kids to a climbing place for a birthday celebration. I'm not overly familiar with the area and I was following the satnav. I remember going straight right when I was meant to go right at one point in Peckham, which may be how I ended up with this. I didn't realise I had contravened until I got the letter in the post today. What a ****! I'm hoping they somehow made more of a mistake than I did.

This case gives me hope, considering the wording is the same and it was part of a successful challenge Similar case (https://www.ftla.uk/civil-penalty-charge-notices-(councils-tfl-and-so-on)/southwark-failing-to-comply-with-a-prohibition-52m-rye-lane-junction-copeland-ro/msg78130/?topicseen#msg78130)

"If full payment has not been made before the end of the period of 28 days beginning with the date of this notice, a Charge Certificate may be issued increasing the amount outstanding by 50% to £240.00"

Thanks for your time.
