It's a red route so no stopping at any time.
Regularly patrolled by Luton's CEOs up until 10pm or later. Did you not see one? Or are they now using enforcement cameras?
Edit: Second look I see it's a camera enforcement. I drop and pick up regularly at Luton, hadn't noticed but not surprised, there is now camera enforcement on the approach roads. I have an account with APCOA for an easier life.
Thanks for your response. So should I just lap it up and pay? Is it worth appealing? My argument would be that I stopped on a side road, though the charge says "red route or clearway". If I do appeal and am unsuccessful will I have the opportunity to pay the reduced amount that they offer?
Many thanks.

That's a council penalty charge notice, not a private parking charge notice. I've asked a mod to move it.

Hi, I received a PCN for stopping on a "red route or clearway" near Luton Airport, see photos. I had gone to pick someone up but was a severe delay to the flight so was unsure what the airport pick up zone laws were. I waited, along with 3 other cars, in a turn off, and entrance to a business. I waited in the car the entire time, with the engine running (was heatwave weather so had AC on) so not sure what definition of stopping they use. Is it worth appealing on those grounds? Or is there a better angle to appeal or should I just lap it up? TIA
