Title: Re: Multiple PCNs for the same School Streets zone in Lambeth (Rosendale Rd)

: I have just noticed that it took a whole month for them to send the first PCN

However:

1)Subject to the provisions of this section, no penalty charge notice may be served under this Act after the expiry of the period of 28 days beginning with the date on which the alleged contravention or failure to comply occurred.

..unless...

Is your mother the registered keeper and are her DVLA details current?

Thanks for the reply - as I say she is not denying she went through, hence paying the first one without delay.

Unfortunately it is quite new and GSV doesn't have images of the signage - pics are from August '22.

I have checked her dash cam but it doesn't go back far enough.

It is frustrating that it seems to have taken them 13 days from date of offence to the date of PCN.  Looking at her google location we reckon there may be 2 or 3 more in the pipeline  :'(

It just seems so unfair - google maps seem to have some of these zones registered but not others.

Edit: I have just noticed that it took a whole month for them to send the first PCN!  That used to be a getout for speeding offences if you didn't receive it within 14 days!

I will try to upload some info later but I'm not sure it gives any more info.  Photos are tiny and grainy and although there is an identical car driving around S London with her plates on she knows it was her.

Check online or telephone Lambeth and ask for details of all PCNs outstanding against your reg mark.

Please give us a timeline of the dates she used that route, with with for each numbers of any PCN received/outstanding.

Payinmg the 1st PCN closes that case. Please post up a copy of all sides of the next PCN (only redact yr name & address - leave all else in)
and a GSV link to the location.

Title: Multiple PCNs for the same School Streets zone in Lambeth (Rosendale Rd)

Hi,

My wife has been visiting her mother in hospital daily and recently received a PCN for driving through a pedestrian area/school zone in Lambeth (Rosendale Rd).  She had not seen the signage (it is quite new, not yet on Google Maps), held her hands up and paid it straight away.

Today she received another PCN for the same offence, and is now worried there are more to follow - it appears that it's taken 2 weeks for the PCN to arrive.

Obviously once that she was aware of the zone she avoided that route (unfortunately Google Maps routed her that way initially), but I was wondering if it would be worth an appeal to ask if there was a chance of mitigation on further PCNs. Reasoning being that she has paid the initial PCN immediately, but further infractions were made before the first ticket arrived, not giving her the chance to modify her behaviour.

I know it is a long shot but it was an innocent mistake; we all know how much extraneous signage there is around London, especially when you are driving around an area you are not familiar with.  She is well aware of her mistake and is not trying to wriggle out of it; however I wondered if there might be any chance of mitigation.  She is under a lot of pressure regarding her mother's health, and she is currently engaged in a separate battle with  another council and a private parking company regarding a very similar car that has cloned her plates.  She is receiving almost daily tickets for this car!

Google suggests that it is worth an appeal - my hopes aren't high but she has enough on her plate at the moment.  I would appreciate any thoughts.
