From what you've posted, you parked with the occupier's tacit but unwritten permission.
They later unilaterally withdrew this permission on this occasion.
Have you parked there since?

Kingston is Hippo's manor so check with him what he's thinking.

Don't you keep an eye on the Whatsapp gp tittle-tattle?
Keep an eye on things but then the village idiots post all sorts of stuff about druggies in the alley and getting CPZs to deter the taekwondo parents using up the parking spaces, fly tipping, the sad local LibDem councillor claiming every tiny victory as his own personal intervention....
:(
Thanks for the advice anyway, very much appreciated

I can't see you have a case.
All I can say is if this arrangement continues people can be contacted if she wants access.

No doubt about the contravention unless you had the occupier's permission to park there. Your post suggests that there was implied permission and that it was your subsequent actions, that is to remove your vehicle in time*, which caused the problem. In effect, the occupier withdrew their permission. Could be interesting!
Pl park the back of the PCN.

Do not pay. Need all PCN and VRM details and the original PCN.

I live in a road that sometimes has parking space issues (non CPZ). One neighbour with a drop kerb but no vehicle usually allows neighbours to park over her drive. She has two yellow metal vertical posts on her front yard to indicate when there isn't an issue. Coming back from an evening event on Wednesday, the posts were up and I parked up, unfortunately I forgot to move the car on the Thursday and was out late that night.
I now know that around 19.30 on the Thursday she posted on the road's whatsapp group asking for my car to be removed, this post was then followed by a number of posts by other neighbours (none identifying my car) so we didn't get to see the remove request. Come Friday, returning from work and she'd reported the car early leaving me with a £70/140 charge and a bad taste in my mouth for what I feel was a disproportionate response.
I tried speaking with her but just got a speel about how her son had travelled 'all the way down from Oxford' (about 50 miles) 'and didn't have anywhere to park' welcome to the world the rest of us are in because of all the drop kerbs in the street. I am wrong, didn't mean to do it and don't suppose there's anything I can do but as you always say, post here before doing anything and I feel a bit better for sharing!
