Currently, you are only being processed for the speeding offence. If you want to know whether the police will be understanding regarding an offence that they currently are unaware of, you could try telling them and asking them if they intend to prosecute. Or you could cross your fingers.

All of the offences that you have told us about are summary only and carry fines and endorsements. None of them carry the possibility of a custodial sentence.

Thank you for informing me. What is the best and worst possible outcome from this, could I face jail time? Will the police be understanding of the circumstances albeit the original 6 points were obviously negligent, but the revocation I was unaware of due to constantly moving addresses.

To cut your long story short, you will now be prosecuted in court for the speeding offence.

More importantly, you should stop driving immediately until you have applied for, and received  a new provisional licence. You can then begin driving – as a provisional licence holder – as soon as you have it and can apply to take your test (both parts) again.

It will be for the police to decide whether to prosecute you for driving without a licence. You will see three points imposed for the speeding offence but no more if you are convicted of driving without a licence (as the offences were committed “on the same occasion”).

However, with nine points accumulated in such a short time, and a recently acquired provisional licence, you may find insurance a little expensive.

Bear in mind that unlike a “totting up” ban, revocation of your licence does not reduce your points to zero. Points remain “active” for totting up purposes for three years from the date of the offence. If you reach twelve points within three years (again based on offence dates) you will be liable to a six month disqualification.

Firstly, I appreciate you taking the time to help, if my text was difficult to understand or not well written I apologise.
The "he say, she say" was to highlight what caused the nuanced confusion and led me to believe everything was ok. Because the officer told me if I bought the insurance, he will let me go +6 points and a fine.

I got the 6 points for driving without insurance. Which was entirely my fault. I took full accountability when stopped and have not made such a mistake since.

I received the 3 points letter a few days ago for driving 36mph in a 30mph zone. When I accepted liability, a conditional offer of 3 points + £100 was made.

When I accepted the offer and went to pay it would not accept my license number, which surprised me, and I asked my friends who are more passionate about cars, they asked me to check if my license was valid with the DVLA. I checked and sure enough since the date of the traffic stop, it had been revoked, and as highlighted in my original message, I was not aware of this.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If that's an attempt at a haiku, you might want to read up on the rules of haiku.

The first part of your tale of woe is that your licence was revoked by the DVLA under the Road Traffic (New Drivers) Act 1995 for reaching 6 relevant points during your probationary period. The irrelevant "he said, she said" is, as you might now realise, irrelevant, at least to the extent that it is comprehensible.

Quite how you managed to get 3 points yet were unable to pay for the privilege is either somewhat unfathomable, or perhaps more likely that providing accurate and meaningful information to those you are hoping will give up their free time to advise you sounds like a lot of unnecessary hassle.

Perhaps you could tell us what actually happened? We could probably waste even more time playing guessing games, but I'm going to say no.

Situation:
Got license 23 nov 2023
Got 6 points 8 nov 2025 at a traffic stop
I could not remember exact date, but I passed test around September / October so
Informed the officer I was just at 2 years
He said ok that’s fine buy insurance in front of me and il let you drive
I had changed address in late September 2025 - not updated DVLA at that point, informed office
I believed everything was ok
I gave the officer my new address
He sent the fines to my new address
I paid fine letters on my new address
Did not receive letter saying license revoked and was not concerned as I believed it had been two years and the officer let me drive as well
Got 3 points 28/5/2026. Tried to pay found out I couldn’t because I don’t have a license
Now I’m panicked as I realise I’ve been driving illegally
And I have 20 days to accept the 3 points
What can I do?
