Additionally, I've just eyeballed the site on GSV - there's no way that you'd know that this was private parking as you approach using the one way system along Ashbourne Parade.
There's no entrance signage and no clear boundary which would draw the drivers attention to the fact that they were leaving public highway and entering private land.

Did you receive a Notice to Driver at the time you parked (ie a notice stuck to the windscreen)?
Spring Parking are not your normal ANPR merchants but tend to use their own officers to dish out NtDs - they may of course have cameras if it's an entrapment site.

I don’t recommend it! But it may be better than nothing.

Court fees have likely not been paid yet, and DCB Legal usually discontinues before having to pay them.
A Subject Access Request can be used to obtain personal information from Spring Parking, including the PCN.
You needed to file a defence by 22 June, or an Acknowlegement of Service by 22 June followed by a defence by 6 July. Have you done either? If not, you are in danger of having a default judgement made against you. I see you have filed AoS, sorry, so defence by 6 July.
The SAR is unlikely to give you a copy of the original PCN by then.
There are boilerplate/template defences on this site which essentially moan about the inadequate Particulars of Claim, which increasingly tend to be struck out, but could be used here in the absence of anything else. If struck out, the original PCN should be available if the SAR process is followed.

I received a Small Claims Court claim from HM Courts via DCB Legal (Spring Parking Ltd).
I have not responded to any correspondence thus far, including the PCNs and the subsequent DCB Legal Letter Before Claim.
The circumstances surrounding the original PCN are as follows: I parked in a paid parking bay near a post office for approximately five minutes. I did not pay because I genuinely did not notice any signage indicating that payment was required and assumed the parking was free.
I understand that, having not paid for parking, my position may be weak. However, given that court fees have already been incurred, I figured I might as well see it through.
If anyone has a good argument for me to put forward in my defence to help get this claim thrown out, I would be eternally grateful.

I have tried to get the original PCN but Spring Parking claims they do not have it and say it is with the debt collectors.
