So here:

It's an unrestricted street mainly but has a history of footway parking that the council presumably haven't enforced. We call this legitimate expectation and can be a winning argument.

I suspect you were singled out for pretty much blocking the footway though. Someone may have called B&D to complain.

Looks a solid contravention to me.

What's the road? There looks to be ample room on the carriageway.

B&D has a lot of muddle about footway parking but this doesn't look like it's in a B&D muddle zone.

Hi all,

Was given a ticket for the above when parking my car in front of my driveway. Reckon the actual reason is because the gap between a lamppost and my car effectively made the pavement too narrow - Because everybody on my road parks 1 wheel on the kerb and never gets a ticket, also because I have been told by an inspector on the word to be weary of this, its also implied by the picture choice in the uploaded evidence.

Anyways, I want to appeal because i think i pretty much have no choice but to park pretty far into the pavement. the picture taken by the inspector doesnt show the large car paralel, on the other side of the road that is pretty much constantly there. if i park further into the road. the delivery vehicles and massive refuse trucks that pass through very frequently could have a very hard time getting through.

Pics - council evidence and my pic of the road (https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1Hk6n-T4dKHAzRtz3hi3A_MSeDdUj_Vqj?usp=sharing)

Any advice? Much appreciated
