Took some more pics
The “Bus lane” sign is bent leftwards on Whitecross Street. Also such a dumb position because I can’t see it from the driver side easily
From the left turn angle the blue sign is not visible and by the time in it it’s too late.
The white lines for the bus lane are super faint
The tarmac which is meant to be red is very faded
I could make the argument that I was in it for 10m or less also having looked at placement of camera.
Worth adding any of these to Hippocrates rebuttal? Thanks

Yes, put in everything, but don't expect Islington to roll-over and cancel. London councils and TfL between them are getting hundreds of millions of pounds from PCNs, between £600-700 million per annum, although this is an approximation, no overall figures are published, (I wonder why !!).
You must be prepared to risk the full PCN penalty at London Tribunals.

Looked t video and website: screenshot the page for making representations as it has NO GROUNDS. Save it.
The alleged contravention is not proved as the video shows no evidence of any upright signs at all allegedly passed. The signage in terms of the legend is wholly unfit for purpose in any event. Please cancel.

@ Incandescent. I didn’t but that’s because I was turning left onto Golden Lane. The left turn lane is basically the bus lane. So basically it was the stretch from Whitecross St past EasyHotel then left turn into Golden Lane which I was in the bus lane for.
OK, but fear not, because Hippocrates has a very strong appeal for bus lane PCNs, so will be in touch.

The only place you're going to get an unbiased hearing is at London Tribunals with the full PCN penalty in play. The first thing you're going to have to explain is how you missed this sign: -

I've assumed these signs are still present, the GSV views are 2022 for Whitecross Street, and 2025 for Old Street
Exit from a side street into a street with a bus lane does not require the council to install a Bus Lane sign immediately on the left turn, but they must advise motorists intending to turn left that there is a bus lane after the turn. Here they seem to have done so, but I have my dounbt as to whether the sign in Whitecross Street is a traffic sign as defined in The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2016
As you day, GSV shows the serious deterioration in the road markings, some of the worst I have seen in bus lane cases.
Assuming you get to London Tribunals, there is also another arrow in your quiver, but assuming Hippocrates sees this, I'l let him explain it to you by PM
However, your first move is to submit representations to the council on the basis of what you have told us in your opening narrative. Did you drive your car out of the bus lane when you saw the sign on Old Street ?

Not at all an expert here, but from my point of view as an amateur, I noted two points.
The photos and the video do not show any upright 958 warning sign or 959B signage allegedly passed and in place.
I think the PCN that has been served might have a procedural impropriety, specifically are missing some of the statutory grounds of appeal at regulation 5(4)(a), (c), (d), (e), (f), (g), (h) and (i) of The Civil Enforcement of Road Traffic Contraventions (Representations and Appeals) (England) Regulations 2022.
But, again, not an expert here, so better wait for further replies from the senior members of this forum.

I genuinely didn't see the sign because of the tight turn from Whitecross Street turning left onto Old St. I was only in the bus lane briefly - 10 seconds or less before turning left again onto Golden Lane.
Road worn out and white paint also not super easy to see.
