Ealing, St Stephen’s Road W13 Code 53J - failing to comply with a restriction on vehicles entering a ‘pedestrian zone’
I had a meeting with a customer who lives at the street in question.
I entered the zone at 08:31 on 01/06/2026.
I turned left into St Stephen’s Road via Sherbourne Gardens which has a restricted sign but between the hours of 09:00 & 10:00 and did not notice the restriction zone signs for St Stephen’s road.
Also the customer did not mention the restrictions prior to my arrival but has since informed me that Ealing council won’t let him have permits because his house is before the ‘pedestrian zone’ starts.
If I had turned right into St Stephen’s Road I wouldn’t have fallen foul of this restriction but I was visiting this area for the first time and while concentrating on the road ahead was also looking for the customers house.
Also apparently the restrictions for the street are for term time only and according to Notting Hill & Ealing High School the date of the PCN was during a training day when the school was closed.
Any help with appealing this would be gratefully received. Thanks
