All adjudications are at the PCN full penalty, (£160). The £240 is if they send a Charge Certificate (CC). This is done if there is no response to the PCN (pay or submkit reps). At CC stage you have lost the appeal option.

Thank you for replying. I thought the yellow box was oversized, even with the overhang I wasn't blocking any traffic.

But that is quite risky then, is that the 160 or the increased 240 price?

As for the DVD, I heard somewhere that they might dismiss it if there's no DvD player as they should have to provide adequate and viewable proof, probably poorly worded but I hope it still makes sense. Is that true?

If you contact TfL by phone they will send you a DVD of the alleged contravention. They then freeze enforcement for about 10 days to give time for the DVD to be produced and sent off. Yes, they are in the IT Dark Ages, because all  the London councils have them on-line on their websites.

You must be proactive and if the DVD doesn't arrive after about 10 days ring them again.

The YBJ looks too big for the junction. It extends beyond the junction with the other roads so is non-compliant with the regulations.  However, you'll only get an unbiased opinion at London Tribunals and must risk the full PCN penalty; no discount option there.

Good Morning,

I recently had to drive into London for the first time in forever, and I misjudged the free space, leaving me to have my back wheels stopped in a yellow box.
I didn't think if I'd be charged, and only got the letter yesterday, almost 2 weeks after the incident.

I'm not sure which jurisdiction it falls under, the letter itself is just from TFL and not from some councils like I've seen around.
However, I do believe I have found the yellow box thanks to the letter.

I've put the images I have found on the TFL website, the first page of the PCN in the folder below:

I could not find a way to see any videos. Getting that would likely be useful if anyone any advice on that.

I just wanted to reach out and ask if it's worth attempting to appeal or pay the fine and move on with life. Any assistance is highly appreciated. Thank you in advance.
