Title: Re: Appeal rejected - IPC parking Wembley - PCN - Parking in No parking area - no signage -
Post by: absolutestoli on May 21, 2026, 01:14:12 pm
Thank you for your reply,

I can't see anything in the terms & conditions that mentions motorbikes not being able to park there.

I've attached the PCN, notice the vague wording and no specific reason. Also no pictures of signage or restricion markings. Are they holding it to use it for the IAS appeal? I'm reading on other forums that it's pointless to appeal to IAS. Basically I either pay £60 now or prepare to fight in court. Which seems very unfair to me!

The Pink Parking website mentions motorbikes and doesn't say they are not allowed.

Many Thanks!

Seems like a load of spherical objects to me.  Post up the PCN.  You might as well appeal to IAS, costs you nothing.  It certainly looks like a parking spot given the oil stains on the floor!  You need to word it carefully to put them to proof that there are no parking signs at that location, or even the motorbikes are not allowed in the car park.

Hello everyone, I received a PCN for the reason: Parking in no Parking area. The operator's evidence is a picture of my motorbike parked in a parking bay with no restriction signage or markings, it is a normal parking bay with no restrictions.

My first appeal was rejected without giving me a reason, just reiterating: "The vehicle was parked on private land, where clear signage advises that vehicles must be parked within a marked bay, the vehicle was parked in a no parking area therefore a charge was issued."

The operator didn't show any picture of a restriction sign or markings on the floor and there aren't any sings in or around the bay.

Is it worth appealing to IAS (considering their low success rate)? Will the operator have extra evidence that they have not provided yet? Is it worth waiting to go and take more pictures of the actual parking bay before appealing?

These are the only pictures they provided:
