In any event, your contravention relates to a parking place, not a waiting restriction.

IMO, you have grounds for reps: I parked on an unsigned length of road and therefore could not breach any restrictions purportedly related to a parking place. The PCN must be cancelled.

If the authority disagree, they must prove the existence of upright traffic in the vicinity of my vehicle which convey that relevant parking place restrictions apply.

Wait for others.

They won't cancel, but at least you'll test their reasoning, or not!

My apologies. Vrm is ke04ync. There are no signs on any of the lamp posts or anything along that stretch of road. The only sign around there is one prohibiting motorhomes overnight that refers to the stretch to the left of where we were parked. As in just here: https://maps.app.goo.gl/CtQyJRSQv1C8jM6T7?g_st=ac

IMO, that's a no waiting sign which has no effect because to have force there must be a single yellow line.

I have no idea what hybrid Scarboroughism is at play here: purported parking place markings but no sign; purported waiting restriction signs but no markings!

(Image from May 2025, shows a small parking restriction sign. Pl post your VRM then we can see the council's photos.

Also, where are the traffic signs, I can't see any in GSV. As far as this shows there's just some white paint on the carriageway.

Pcn code 24 - North Yorkshire Council, Esplanade , Scarborough, not parked correctly within the confines of the bay or space. Vrm is ke04ync.

Parked with two wheels on the kerb in a motorhome. There were dotted white lines at the start and the end of the length of road where you could park creating one long bay. I'm thinking that the kerb is taken to be the inside of the bay as there were no white lines to indicate the inside but just wanted advice on whether it's worth appealing it please. The outer wheels were within the dotted white lines.  There were several motorhomes parked in such a way and they ticketed all of them. Didn't get a picture at the time but took a photo last time I parked there which is the one I've inserted here.

Many thanks in advance for your help.
