No, it’d be wasted effort.
You already appealed and they rejected your appeal.
-
cheers guys, is with worth appealing or writing to them with regard to non-compliance to serving within 14 days?
-
The reply to the LBC rarely stops the issuing of a County Court Claim.
Once a claim is issued we can help with a defence.
In this instance the defence will be simple due to the late NtK.
Nothing to worry about but this will take some time.
-
I've used my appeal, would the strategy be to go with late serving on the letter before claim? I was originally counting the 14 days from contravention to issue.
-
Given the issue date, it's hard to see that this would have been served within 14 days of the alleged contravention.
So just sit it out and then respond to the Letter Before Claim.
There's no route to keeper liability.
-
Pushed KFC today and they said they can't help.
They're gonna be getting some great trip adviser/twitter and linkedin posts shortly.
Torn between paying and sticking it out

managed to do a bit better
-
Adding my 2 cents here in case they do allow an appeal.
Date of Contravention: 14/12
Date of Notice: 24/12
Date of presumed delivery: (2 working days after notice date): 30/12
Assuming non-working days: 25/12 (Xmas), 26/12 (Boxing day), 27/12 (Saturday), 28/12 (Sunday)
So that's presumably out of time (I count 15 days from the day after the contravention date)
-
I never received the original NTK, only the final reminder.
They've attached it to the appeal letter but its too small to read clearly
-
Could you re-post the original NtK as I cannot get it to load and be readable.
-
Thanks for reply.

The appeal was:-
Dear Sir/Madam
As the registered keeper of the vehicle I have not received any previous NtK. The first NtK received has been today (10th February 2026), date of contravention 14th December 2025.
Consequently it has not been possible to consider appeal under IAS or settlement against an offered discount.
I am writing to request a review of the Parking Charge Notice as first issued.
The defence is (as communicated to the landowner):-
The driver overstayed because parking is limited to 45mins, overstay by 18mins. On this occasion the restaurant was exceptionally busy due to increased footfall due to a national event, in addition to the seasonal Christmas period. A party member has significant food allergies. The restaurant staff were extremely helpful in accommodating these needs, but the necessary customisation of the meal resulted in longer preparation and service times. This extended the stay beyond the 45 minute parking limit.
These circumstances were entirely outside of the drivers control, and the driver believes they represent reasonable grounds for leniency. Furthermore, the strict time limit, without consideration for customers requiring allergen safe food preparation, places individuals with food allergies at a disadvantage. This aspect is particularly concerning, as it creates an avoidable barrier for people with specific dietary needs.
The driver would be grateful if you could review the Parking Charge Notice in light of the above and take appropriate action to cancel it.

You need to provide more information if you want input here.

Noted that you don’t have the original notice, but you have something and what did your appeal say?
Smart now in the IPC so the IAS will reject your second appeal.
If you stick it out, what will your defence be? Are the signs clear? Why did the driver overstay?

Had a PCN from these scumbags. Somehow I missed the original PCN for an overstay at KFC on 14th Dec 2025. (if they ever sent it). Got a final reminder on 29/1/26 which I appealed and also contacted the landowner. My appeal has been rejected and I have until 2nd April to pay up. The KFC parking fine team said they would ask the restaurant management team to cancel but that's still pending. I was going to pay tonight but the website is down and then I found this site for a second opinion. Shall I just ride it out and wait for the debt collection letters?
