Title: Re: [PCN] Parked on a single yellow, on a street without any signs [Redbridge]

GSV plays Sillybu***rs here and I cannot see the entry to Rutland Road, but the next street up, Bedford Road shows the CPZ signs :-

It all depends whether you are prepared to stand your ground and take them to London Tribunals, because you have to risk the full PCN penalty if you do.

This is a very common trap by councils amd we see quite a few cases like yours over the years. There are two restrictions, (1) the No Stopping zig-zags with a sign for the applicable times, and (2) the single yellow sign indicating a No Waiting restriction on certain days and times. As there is no sign, you were, in all likelihood, in a CPZ where the yellow line times are on the CPZ entrance signs.

Cases have been won on similar situations where it was claimed the presence of the yellow line restriction is not immediately apparent, and a sign should have been erected for the yellow line as well as the zig-zags. Needless to say the council will never give way, (they want your money !!), so you'd have to take them to London Tribunals and risk the full PCN penalty. There may be cases on this in the LT Statutory Register so you could try searching it using the street name as a reference.

Hello guys,

I received a PCN for parking on a single yellow line on a Saturday, it is a one way road with no signs on the road or on the entry into the road. Further back there is a school with a sign which says no parking allowed on the zig zag Monday to Friday, yet a car parked on the zig zag got a PCN.

Did I correctly get ticketed on a Saturday just before 4pm? How should I know what any restrictions are without any signage?
I've uploaded an image below, not sure if it is showing up.
