It would not necessarily be prejudicial to your case to use this portal that Moorside insist on.
Our main issue with it is that they are insisting on its use. There is also the risk that using it will require defendants to provide to Moorside personal details they have no need for, such as your phone number.
Unless you are missing any relevant documents, there's also not much to gain by accessing said portal.

I think it must be my thread (on behalf of a family friend) that you looked at.
I was advised not the use the portal and to use email and letter only. I'm not sure why but happy to follow the advice.
I also got the same auto response and I've decided to send the advised response by letter (with certificate of posting).
Seems like Moorside are swamped/incompetent and I'm hoping that a substantial challenge to their Letter Before Claim will put us in the 'too hard' category.

I've gone through the usual UKPS appeal, IAS appeal, debt collection letters (ignored) and now have a Letter before Claim.
I have taken the advice of @b789 to a similar member and emailed to help@moorsidelegal.co.uk
Now they seem to not even be acknowledging email as I got an immediate autoresponse
"Thank you for contacting Moorside Legal.
Please be advised that this mailbox is not monitored. We request that you access our online portal at https://portal.moorsidelegal.co.uk and follow the instructions provided to submit your enquiry."
Do I need to respond to their letter by engaging through their portal, or is the email sufficient evidence for later?
