In the first instance, what is the expiry time shown on your ticket / receipt as apposed to what they claim on the NtD?

Good afternoon,
The registered keeper has returned to vehicle to find this placed on the window. Not going to try and waffle on. It is what it is. The driver had attended a concert and being ADHD and Autistic they have lost where the car was parked  :-\…. We helped them retrace their journey and found the vehicle. With the PCN attached. Payment was made but only for 24hrs I believe. Is there anything we can do to assist the keeper, or is it accept punishment for the drivers disability?
