But you can use all of this against them.
You might find it useful to jot down all the different dates of the letters and responses to demonstrate unreasonable behaviour.

That's the thing with this one....
I received a Letter of Claim for the same PCN in May 2025. I responded as per advice here and Moorside never replied.
I was expecting to have to go through he pre court procedure before they discontinued but it never happened

Agreed, it just shows up how incompetent they are. I will assume that a couple of robust replies will send them on their way
They usually initiate a county court claim before giving up.

I would simply reply with the same response as the first time around.
This same scenario has occurred several times now.
I suspect that they are just 'tree shaking' in the hope that a percentage of people pay up to make it go away.

Hi all
Received a Letter Before Claim from Moorside this morning containing no detail and asking for £170 for an "unpaid invoice"
I sent them the template email asking for details etc and they replied via email with the below

They have already issued a Letter of Claim for the above on the 14 May 2025 for the same PCN but under under a completely different reference but the with same PCN number.
I responded to the Letter of Claim as per the advice here and heard nothing since
I know Moorside are clowns but do I need to respond in any way
Thanks in advance
