Wrong vehicle make on ticket - magic bullet? or useless?
« on: »
Hello.

I have received an on-window penalty charge notice from the London Borough of Barnet.

The alleged offence is related to parking, which I dispute.

However I noticed that the vehicle make on the ticket is wrong. When and how should I appeal on these grounds? Or is it irrelevant, as they would just issue another ticket with the correct details?

I am not comfortable posting traceable details like my registration on a public forum.

Thanks!

No they can't issue a another PCN. However incorrect make, model and or colour aren't grounds to challenge/appeal a PCN. So useless to you. Unless maybe this involves a moving traffic PCN and your plates or cloned.

Post up the PCN and let's see what's what.

It's not letting me post even one photo. It's only a 29kb jpg too.

But I get an error message saying the upload folder is full.

OK, so the PCN has the right reg. number, but wrong car make. Problem you have is that car make and colour is not legally mandated information on the PCN, but if make and colour are obviously wildly wrong, like saying it's a Bentley when the car is a Mini, would be grounds for querying the PCN, although if the CEO has taken photos then you are on less sure ground.
