Windsor Borough council PCN order of recovery

hello all, I should’ve reached out much sooner. I’ve just received a order of recovery letter from Windsor Council.

I received a PCN last year which I was shocked about because I paid for parking on the RingGo app. I thought they were going to recognise their mistake but they didn’t and eventually they sent more and more letters. I reached out to them and sent via email screenshots of me paying for the parking only for them to notify me that I got one letter wrong and the registration number which is now resulted in the parking charge getting much more expensive.

 I was hoping that they were scope to offer some kind of goodwill i’ve had a lot of personal circumstances going on at the moment which is led to me not being quick in responding back to them. Would it be too late now to try and get a Goodwill or at least for them to return it to the original parking charge?

We need to see the paperwork but if you made representations to the notice to owner and received a rejection you had to pay or appeal to the tribunal. If you ignore the NTO then there was no recourse.

I didn’t ignore the notice to owner. I did send an appeal to the email address and they came back to say that the PCN was issued correctly and that I need to pay within a certain timeframe because I had personal circumstances going on. I completely forgot and now they have sent The court letter giving me till the 27th of March until they file.

You had to act on the instructions on the rejection letter but let's see it.

Date of issue of NTO;

How and when did you 'send an appeal to the email address'?

I sent the appeal email 13th February

It looks to me that you did not respond to the note to owner and were sent a charge certificate and you've tried to make a late challenge which they've said is too late. You now have an order for recovery for £85 which you must pay.

Is this correct?

The key is the note to owner - if you didn't get this then you do have recourse.

Just to check if I had one placed on my car but not posted to me can I can follow this process to get it reset?

So at that stage in this thread it was not unreasonable to infer that a NTO was received.

OP, every notice has a name. We use those names for a reason.

Did you receive a Notice to Owner? If so, what did you do?

If not, then your 'appeal' dated 13 Feb. was in response to the Charge Certificate, correct?

Pl post what you sent 'to the email address'.
