So a bit of context to this one,

So I have parked in the space for MONTHS. It has always been a disabled bay in that time, and was a Disabled bay when I parked my car. I do tend to leave my car in the space for about 1 week at a time when I use it (you can see in the photos I block the windows out due to it being left.

however recently they have changed the signage to a loading zone (just the sign, no road makings showing a loading bay even though lots of spaces recently have had signs painted on the road next to the loading bays), and they have done this while the car was parked there. So my question is can I appeal this? I wouldn't normally go back to a spot to see if the signage had changed so surely I can fight this right?

Also just FYI, I do have conditions so if what I'm saying doesn't make sense, I apologise and will try again

I think we had another on this road or nearby the other day - Newham has been changing signage, lines and bays by these new builds. Maps no good for street views.

I think you should get this cancelled provided it was just a week without checking.




 

Draft a short challenge on the lines of what you said and post here first.

I would make it more direct as it's no mystery who changed the sign.

I am challenging this PCN because you changed the parking sign from a disabled bay to a loading bay when my car was parked legally in the bay displaying my blue badge, as your pictures confirm.

You issued the PCN on 11/6/25 at 08:45am, but I parked my car in that bay on 5/6/25 in good faith.

I can see that you have placed no road markings along with the changed sign, probably because you could not move my car owing to the blue badge.

Therefore I trust you will cancel this PCN as you cannot expect me to return to a bay every day to see if you have changed the signage and there was at most a gap of 6 days.

Maybe say something about your disability here if it supports not checking...
