Tower Hamlets PCN
« on: »
Dear fellow members

I have been signposted via the other forum.

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend. I have managed to do a boo boo, where I genuinely did not fully read the signage as it was quite confusing.

I have been issued with PCN with Contravention Code 01.

This happened on Brady Street, London E1.

Thanks All and maybe I can get some guidance as I genuinely made error with signage.

Kind regards
Ali

Why did you stop there, and for how long?

In the meantime:

Traffic order.
Map tile.

The sign in GSV

seems to relate to the traffic order and tile,
but not to the current sign on the same post shown in OP's opening post.

I think Google map is bit dated.

Precisely - but I felt the current signs should match the current traffic order....
CP will know...

The map tile says no waiting 7 pm to 7 am (which is the restriction we're concerned with).

It also says that the rest of the time the bay is a shared use business permit / pay and display bay, which matches the photo in the opening post.

The plate above the yellow no waiting sign is not a TSRGD authorised sign and the traffic signs manual says the sign at the top should be the yellow one, but that's thin gruel for risking the discount (but we're not at that stage yet).

I'm toying with a couple of ideas, would it be possible for you to go back and get some updated photos of the road markings? I can't see any bay markings at all in the CEO's photos.

This might be a tricky one. Do you have any mitigation you could put forward?
