ticket given in Fishers Lane, Chiswick - Hounslow

Hi,

The hirer of the vehicle received this Penalty Charge Notice and was confused by the signage in the area. She was dropping her son off at a football match at the sports centre and did not see any clear signage indicating the restriction.

Please could you help with this matter? The 14-day reduced payment period ends on 19 May 2026.

You could post the video and check the tribunal register for any cases here. Did the driver apprach head-on or turn into the restriction.

Please repost the PCN with PCN number, date, and car reg visible. Your car reg is visible to all and sundry when you drive around. We can then go and look at their video.

A left turn would have meant driving along Chiswick Common Road. THere is a No Left Turn sign as one approaches the cross roads.  Did you not notice it ?

Oh yes, I can see what you mean. It was actually my wife driving that day. It appears she came up Chiswick Common Road and turned right into Fishers Lane. I’m not sure what signage was in place before making that turn, but she would not have seen the sign positioned at the entrance to Fishers Lane. 
By the way we have lease hire car.
The 28 day period ends on the 1st June, so hoping a good defence can be put forward.

It's our name and address. They had originally written to the hire company.

There is a clear No Right Turn here, so I think you would struggle at London Tribunals, unless somebody can suggest a 'technical' appeal. These are based on council mismanagement of the enforcement process, and usually nothing to do with the alleged contravention.
