Tooting, PCN due to stopping on a red route on: August 22, 2026, 08:13:33 pm #1 Hi all, thanks for any help in advance.I was driving my sister in laws car and stopped in tooting. I read the sign and realised I could not park there so left. She's been sent this PCN. Could I argue that I was only stopped but after reading the sign I left and so should not have to pay?https://imgpile.com/p/Ccc33Xn Logged

Re: Tooting, PCN due to stopping on a red route Reply #4 on: September 14, 2026, 11:05:37 pm #5 So just got the disc. Was a struggle to find something to play it onIt's footage of about 1.5 minutes and shows me reversing into the spot. The whole footage does not show anyone getting out of the vehicle. There is a few seconds where the door on right back passenger is opened slightly but shuts again. As I said we weren't there for more than a few minutes, if that. I hope this footage proves that. I'll try to upload If it makes any difference I did have my baby son in the car and needed to feed him so needed to stop but carried on when I realised I couldn't park there Logged

Sorry to say it !Considering the cars still moving for around 30seconds of the 90seconds video (difficult to say as the camera zooms in as soon as I'm in the zone), with around a minute to put handbrake on etc and then read the sign - I'd say a minute is not a lot of time.Nobody gets out of the car the whole video as well so can't argue I didn't move off as soon as the video ends, I would think Logged

The council will automatically reject your reps so for a result you will have to forego the discount and take them to London Tribunals and risk the full penalty. Logged

Re: Tooting, PCN due to stopping on a red route Reply #10 on: September 19, 2026, 07:07:33 am #11 OP, you have been accused of "stopping", not "parking". Red lines mean no stopping, nothing to do with parking. Logged
