The City Of Edinburgh Council - Parked in a parking place not designed for that

Hi all
Accidentally parked in a ‘Car Club Only’ space on Orwell Place in Edinburgh and recieved this PCN.

Any advice on appealing it?

IMO, it's the wrong contravention. A 'Car Club' is not a 'class of vehicle'. These are, for example, 'goods', 'taxi' etc. Your class of vehicle may park there IF you're displaying the required permit.

IMO, it's a plain and simple 'permit bay' as it says on the (GSV) sign.

Reckon I should write this in the appeal? Tbh this is what I was thinking, ‘car club’ isn’t a vehicle type in the same way motorcycle, van, car etc would be

THe contravention stated on the PCN simply did not occur. OK, if the CEO had a better brain, he'd have walloped you for parking without a permit in the bay, but he didn't.

Submit a simple challenge stating that the offence did not occur, because there is no restriction on vehicle type where you parked. Don't write reams and reams, let them do that and shoot themselves in the foot.
