Hi, I just got a pcn for parking on a single red I believe. However, my excuse is that I was completing a delivery to the shop right next to the car called WAVE and was there only for a couple minutes which I can provide full proof of delivery for. Is there a way I can appeal this or make a representation.

Looks like you may have been in a bay where loading is allowed at that time?

Yes, that is what i thought too. Do you think I can appeal it. I have detailed proof of delivery. And I was only there for a short amount of time.

But was all of your vehicle in that bay ? PCN contravention time is 12.11, so within the allowed loading period, but you have to be in the bay to comply. If any part of the vehicle is on the single red line, then the loading exemption doesn't apply.

So why not phone TFL and ask for the video. It is sent FOC and enforcement is suspended for 2 weeks. Are there any photos on the TfL wedsite ?

Unfortunately it looks like you are out of the bay.

So the sign only applies for the bay and the single red line? Is my best option to just pay or make a representation?

It's up to you, but at the moment I see no argument against the contravention, as you have clearly misunderstood the meaning of the sign, and what Red Lines mean, as opposed to yellow lines. Yes, it is confusing. However there may be a "technical" appeal, so wait a bit until any suggestions are posted, but if you're minded to pay, don't miss the deadline for that.
