Hi everyone,
I've received a Transport for London PCN for an alleged prohibited right turn and would appreciate any advice before I decide whether to pay or challenge it.
PCN Details
Authority: Transport for London (TfL)
PCN Number: GX37552871
Contravention Code: 50R
Alleged Contravention: Performing a prohibited right turn
Location: Grosvenor Road / Chelsea Bridge Road
Date of Contravention: 02/07/2026
Time: 15:19
Date of Notice: 10/07/2026
Penalty: £160 (£80 if paid within the 14-day discount period)
The PCN states that the alleged contravention was recorded by camera.
At this stage I haven't made any representations or contacted TfL.
I had a look at the junction on Google Street View and noticed that the "No Right Turn" prohibition appears to be displayed on the traffic lights at the junction with an exception for local buses (there are no other signs before). However, the road markings appear to include a right-turn lane/arrow.
I'd be grateful if anyone could review the PCN and let me know if there are any potential grounds of appeal.
