Silvertown Tunnel PCN Notice of rejection
« on: »
Hi there,

On the 13/06/2025 I drove through the Silvertown tunnel. I was on my way to a work party and set my satnav to take me the route with “no tolls”. Unfortunately my phone went crazy because of the heat and the sat nav on there went crazy so I became lost. I remember going through the tunnel but because I was focused on finding my way again, I didn’t notice any signage saying to pay a toll.
I appealed the PCN when it arrived as I’m not a regular visitor to London and I don’t do public transport due to anxiety. They rejected the appeal.
Has anyone had any luck appealing the rejection? If I do appeal it and lose do I have to pay more? Are there anymore reasons I can give on the appeal if I do it?

TIA for any help.

As expected, they have re-offered the discount. So you now need to decide whether to risk the full penalty at London Tribunals. There, they can only decide on law, not mitigation.
