I can see that a previous post has been made about this junction already: Redbridge - Cambridge Park - 31J Entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited (ftla.uk) .

I drive a company car and I was driving the car when the contravention took place. Would like to make a defence please and can use the same wording as the one drafted in the post mentioned above by "Glitch". Any other suggestions and guidance will be greatly appreciated. Many thanks in advance.

Update: unfortunately the video is too large to attach. It is available on the Facebook page: "Free Traffic Legal Advice - Penalty Charge Notice Advice".

In my opinion, the turning right exemption should apply here, based on how the rule is drafted.

"The prohibition in sub-paragraph (1) does not, in respect of a box junction within sub-paragraph (6)(a) of the definition of that expression, apply to a person who—

(a)causes a vehicle to enter the box junction for the purpose of turning right; and
(b)stops the vehicle within the box junction for so long as the vehicle is prevented from completing the right turn by an oncoming vehicle or other vehicle which is stationary whilst waiting to complete a right turn."

You are waiting behind the Tesco van which is waiting to complete a right turn.  So you have an exemption

And the rest of the PCN, please - often mistakes in 'small print'.

Apologies, I have only received this one page letter from the secretary. I have taken a photo of the back of the PCN, but there aren't any further pages.

Please re-post the PCN with the dates visible.

Is the car a leased vehicle?

The car is a company car where I work. It is not a leased vehicle, it is owned by the company outright.

Please see the attached PCN. I have redacted the company details and the vehicle registration.

To whom is the PCN addressed?

Let's assume it's not you but your employer.

What then?

The company remain liable at all times, not you. You cannot respond in your own name. At best you can, if authorised in writing, write on behalf of the company. Do you have this authority?

Does your employer realise their, as opposed to your, exposure?

The discount expires on 9 Aug.

Many thanks, not worth taking the risk on the company name. I was definitely driving on the day when the contravention took place.
It is an FCA regulated business so better to make an appeal today based on the various suggestions above. Sorry, not able to disclose the name of the company.

Many thanks to everyone for the suggestions and guidance, much appreciated.

If you get a rejection, post it on here together with a copy of the representations.
