Hi,

I received a PCN on Cranbrook Road where i stopped for less than 10 seconds to pick up nephew. Can I argue that it was for an extremely short time?

Thank you.

Hi. We need the VRM please. And the PCN. You can only stop at a  bus stop due to an emergency. But, they have to prove there is an upright sign - yellow.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

Let me know if the link works. I saved the PCN on my one drive.

Thank you.

Annoying as if you'd just stopped short of the bus stop the pick up would have been fine.* This is one where they should use discretion but probably won't.

*Actually I don't think you would be as this may well be on Redbridge's new red route.

Uncfortunately, it is a No Stopping contravention, and 10 seconds would be outside any de minimis considerations. I see there are double-red lines before the bus stop, so as Stamfordmans has spotted, you would have been whalloped wherever you stopped. Best to find a side street with some single or double-yellow lines as boarding/alighting passengers is OK on these.
