This is my first topic and thank you to all volunteers for this service.

I went to a Doctors appointment and always park in the same spot for years now but they must have put this new sign up as the parking is exactly outside my surgery and received a PCN, when I came out 45 min later. Its getting so bad now with all these PCN's, im not sure if it pays to drive a car anymore as I safe more when coming by TFL.I was really surprised as I was early to the appointment and if I had not been i would not have received the ticket as the hour i parked had a permit limitation on it, so I'm really looking for a reason to appeal as I'm really not sure. I tried searching for stuff in this site but the search function did not work for me. I also only have a few days to appeal so would really appreciate some advise?

I will add the ticket here:

The sign restricting parking to permit holders at certain times has been there since September 2022, the last time GSV surveyed the street. So it's been there 3 years, so it's puzzling you've never noticed it before. It is a marked bay so the onus is on the motorist to look for a sign giving the restrictions for the bay. Of course if you parked there outside the restricted times, you'd obviously not get a PCN. The PCN is timed at 10.40, right within the morning restriction time.

So, frankly, I see no robust case for a successful appeal.
