The photos show and you do not dispute that you parked with 2 wheels on the footway with at least one wheel (rear offside) wholly beyond markings on the footway which purportedly delimit the extent of the council's disapplication of the footway parking prohibition at that location as indicated by a prescribed traffic sign.
IMO, your only statutory defence on this point is that the markings do not mark the limit of the 'lifted' prohibition and that as a matter of fact where you were parked was an area of footway where the prohibition had been lifted.
By way of gathering some contextual info, could you measure the width of other marked areas in the road to see whether these are consistent or vary wildly.
