Hello,
We were issued a PCN for entering a pedestrian zone during school hours. It's not well marked and when you're driving through a school zone during pickup the focus is on kids running around not signage.
That said we drove through during the signposted hours we missed on the day but it was on the same day we were moving house (July 18 2024) so the PCN went to the old address somehow despite a redirection through Royal Mail. It's just turned up over three months later. Seems someone popped it into an envelope to forward at some point but didn't pay enough postage so it went back and then was redirected at last to the correct address.
We're now past the window to pay the lesser amount and I probably don't have grounds to contest it regardless of my feelings that there should be more obvious flashing lights or a gate to prevent drivers from entering.
I see others have been caught out similarly

What can we do about this now, is it worth contesting or can we at least get it reduced to the initial £65.00 charge given it was delivered to the wrong address and only redirected this week?
Thank you
