PCN with incorrect make of car
« on: November 25, 2024, 03:07:32 pm »
Frustrated with navigating the one way systems and no parking spaces I took the chance and parked on some double yellow lines along side a section of occupied street parking late a night. It's clearly marked, clearly a violation but I noticed the Sheffield officer incorrectly recorded the make of car.

I have read that some people were lucky enough to get it cancelled on this but not sure how I should go about making representations?

Thanks

The car make is not a mandatory item in a PCN so won't help you.

If you read this and post all the PCN we may be able to help.

I'm pretty sure nothing can be done as it was parked on clearly marked freshly painted yellow lines but here is the PCN.

What was your reason for parking ?

Please post the back of the PCN so we can check it for fatal errors. Yes, the "small print" must convey certain legally mandated information that could make it void.

Here's the back.

As mentioned I parked there simply because it was late at night and I couldn't find any other parking in the area.

Thanks

No. Perhaps you misunderstood the question. Specifically, what was your reason for parking?

It was just to drop some stuff to a friend at a near by flat and stayed a little while.

OK, so you can't claim either of the exemptions, (1) loading or (2) boarding/alighting passengers.  If you'd just dropped some stuff off at your friend's flat and departed, you could claim 'loading'. Mind you, what does "little while" mean ?

I was gone for 30 minutes or so, I'm not sure there is really anything I can claim?
Thanks
