20 days ago, right after parking my Honda, I paid for two hours worth parking using the PayByPhone app, using the correct parking location code.
I have proof of this payment in my phone, as well as picture of the street location code.

To my surprise, I came back to my car with a ticket on my windshield, despite being well in time. The officer had issued the fine exactly in the middle of my parking session!

This is scandalous I would like to know the appropriate way to dispute this charge. The fine has already gone up to £80.

Should I dispute the fine with the council directly or wait for guidance on this forum as a first step?

Are your DVLA keeper details current?

You've missed the 14-day discount period, so the full penalty is in play for the moment. You may make reps until a NTO is served on the keeper which may be as soon as 31 July.

But hang fire making reps now until you've responded to the above pl.

Hackney uses Ringgo not PayByPhone - have a look at where you actually paid to park - my bet is somewhere in Lambeth.
