PCN Code 34J Reading Flagstaff Road

Being in a bus lane at Reading Green Rail Station.

It's the first time I visited that rail station and I have not been there since. I was picking someone up. As I drove in I could not find the pickup point and came to the intersection of parking or bus lane. At that stage I only wanted to turn around and it was safer to do so in the bus lane, rather than on the road or in the car park. As I took the bus lane to make a turning for the exit I saw my passenger who followed me out of the bus lane onto a crossroads where she got in the car.

As of now I still don't know whether there is a pickup point at that rail station.

I have tried to get video footage as per instructions in the back, but I could not find the way on the https://www.reading.gov.uk/pcn website.

Date of the PCN is 13/02/2026, so I have about two more weeks left to pay the discounted rate. It would be great to get a response on whether I can challenge this one or whether I should just pay it.

I doubt it ! They are only interested in the money, frankly. Can you please post a GSV link to the location so we can have a look at the signage.

Forgive my ignorance, but what is a GSV link? The GPS coordinates on the provided image are 51.42595 -1.00057.

The loop in front of the train station is Buses only with plenty of signage. The location of the pin is where I was confused as to where to go next because there was no turning location for people who did not want to park. The Google Maps pin is slightly wrong because it shows the location of where the Bus Only signage is, rather than where the photo of my car is. The photo is inside the bus loop, about 50m down from the Google pin - I don't know why Google refuses to display the exact pin.

In the black box top left of the street view, click on the three vertical dots, and click on "Share or embed image", then follow the instructions, (click on "copy link"). YOu can then paste the link into your thread.

Ah, thanks. Unfortunately Google Street View is not available for Reading Green Rail Station. I guess it's because it's a new rail station.

OK, so to give the best advice, we need to see photos of the approach to the bus gate and one as one get to the signs. Without seeing the signage, it's difficult to give good advice.
