I posted an issue for the wrong thread.

I HAVE A HIGH COURT CASE RE JUDICIAL REVIEW BUT WILL DO MY BEST TO ADVISE AND TAKE ON CASES IF AT ALL POSSIBLE.

If you do not challenge, you join "The Mugged Club".

cp8759 and mrmustard are true geniuses. I know my place in the hierarchy of The Three Musketeers. 😊 "The Clinician", "The Gentleman" and "The Showman"

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.

Still not heard anything from the council. It's now showing as £80, but no rejection letter or email received. Wondering if I need to chase?

Came home from holiday to the rejection letter (i asked for email correspondence). Letter dated 24/7/2026 but I left on the 3rd August and hadnt received it by that date. Concerned ive missed the 28 day appeal window, as today is 28 days - presume i can appeal this too?

Anyway, here's the letter... and thanks in advance with any support

You haven't.
If you intend to proceed, and there is no point in not doing so, just register an appeal online with the tribunal by 24th August.

I'm rusty so someone will correct me if I'm wrong.

I also make it 24 August as the final day you have the right to register an appeal.

It's 28 days starting with date of service of the NoR. Sounds like you could argue it wasn't served until August, but ordinarily a letter dated 24 July is deemed served on 28 July. 28 days starting on 28 July takes you to 24 August (I.e. Monday).

That's great, thanks both of you for replying and figuring the dates out for me. I'll get an appeal registered tonight. Will I have time to update the details of the appeal? From memory I could keep adding details. It'll be good to use any support members are able to offer here down the line.
Thanks again, I really appreciate it
