PCN-
« on: »
Morning all,

I received a PCN for parking in a suspended parking bay, I challenged the original PCN the next day as I was unsure on if I parked there before the signs went up. I received confirmation of my challenge and the email read I 'please allow a a response within 28 days'. 28 days passed and I though my challenge was accepted/ or Lambeth's deadline meant the ticket became invalid. I then received another email 13/01 (today) (62 days later) that read my challenge was unsuccessful and that the suspended parking bay signs were up before the car was parked with pictures of the car in the bay.

My question is, by not responding within the 28 days as stated by Lambeth does the ticket remain valid or becomes invalid?

PCN- received on windscreen- 11/11/2025
Challenge- 12/11/25
Email confirmation of challenge from Lambeth- 12/11/25
Response to challenge- 13/01/26 (62 days later)

Thanks in advance for any help.

No there is no time limit for replying to an informal challenge although they have 6 months to serve a notice to owner.

Post the materials if you want help and edit the title to something more informative than PCN.
