Paybyphone charged me and Chelsea Council put a penalty

There was 100% no sign of suspended parking when I went to park this. And there were others who got the notice in the same way.

There is a sign further along which might have this notice on the photo that officer posted but why would I go on to check each sign on the road and ithink they should have posted this one error sign not at only 2 side of the road.

Any help or tacmplet please to challenge?

I asked my relative to send a pic from there and there is the same code and one signboard has got the suspension notice whereas the one I read doesn't have it.

Can I win it?

I saw several other cars who got tickets and they were confused as they had paid as well. I didn't bother as I came back home and saw the PCN squeezed in bonnet.

Please post-up a GSV link telling us exactly where you parked, and where the sign with the suspension sign on it is. You were entitled to take the sign nearest to your car as the one applying to it, not a sign some distance away.

Signs on the other side of the street don't apply to the side where you parked, BTW.

I parked in Bay 9 and the nearer sign doesn't show any restrictions. A sign far away shows restrictions from Bay 5 to Bay 9

Posting another pic where sign and bay number both are visible in the same pic.

This sign is above Bay 12. The sign with restrictions is on Bay 6. And I parked in Middle at Bay 9. Most people park there and go towards hospital which is towards sign 12 and it seems deliberate by council to con people like this.

Sorry, I was looking at this yesterday, but got dragged away by "you know who" !

There is a bay for EV charging between two other bays. Each of these bays has its own sign.  Although the numbering is continuous, they are regarded as two separate bays as per the markings, so must each have a separate sign. The sign for EV charging has its own sign, and as that bay was not suspended, had no sign. So really it seems to me they have placed the suspension sign correctly at the single sign for the bay where the suspension was.  The other bay had no suspensions, so had no sign put up.

But my issue with them is that they should have put through pasking suspension sign on both pillars if they both are part of the same paybyphone code. Anyone going back to hospital isn't going all the way on the other end of the road when he can see the board right in front of them.

They may have the same code for PbP parking, but legally they are two separate bays, because of the EV charging bay between them.  Of course you have the legal right to test your argument at the adjudicators, but must risk the full PCN penalty if you wish to do so.
