Hello,

Parked up a Spring Hill Recreation Ground car park to drop something off for a friend living locally. Was only going to be there for 10 mins, so took the risk and didn't pay. Of course a warden turns up minutes later and I got back just as he was giving the ticket.

Wondering if there's any way out of this?

A few years ago I successfully appealed a similar ticket I received in Epping Forest on the basis of bylaws applying to the land? I can't remember the exact wording, but it was a private parking company, so maybe a different situation.

Thank you.

So you chanced your arm and lost. Private tickets are completely different to PCNs served by councils. I see nothing wrong with the PCN, and you were well within the period when payment must be made to park. Wait a bit until others comment, but for me the discount looks your best option at the moment.
