Author Topic: Notice to owner for not displaying P&D ticket (I did), hairmyers train station, south lanarkshire - didn't receive PCN  (Read 520 times)

Hi all,

I have just received a notice to owner from South Lanarkshire (Scotland) for an alleged contravention of not clearly displaying a valid ticket for pay and display. Uploaded the notice to owner. I did purchase a ticket and still have it - also attached. I can only assume it was displayed correctly as I always put it in the window but haven't seen any evidence as I did not receive a PCN.

So I can prove a ticket exists for the date and time of the alleged contravention. But not that it was displayed correctly as didn't take a picture of windscreen. Assuming this would be on the PCN I haven't received?

I have 6 options for appealling - welcome any advice on how best to proceed.

Ps having a nightmare uploading the pictures here - not working so hopefully the description is enough for a start!

Many thanks in advance!

You've blanked the PCN number and VRM - reinstate them.

PCN number SL80833414

VRN YD61 JMV

PCN number SL80833414

VRN YD61 JMV

Think there is a mistake in these details?

Sorry yes typo on PCN number.

PCN SL80833413

VRN YD61 JMV

I've just looked and the evidence does appear to show the ticket in the window, with details visible (albeit potentially upside down)

Is there a serial number on the reverse of the ticket?

Yes (assuming you mean on the back of the parking ticket itself). Though I should clarify by upside down I mean the wording still facing outward to the viewer, albeit the wording would appear 180degrees flipped. That's just based on the angle of the photo. It might be their phone that's flipped.

105106.

Only two pics - the ticket is the right way up but looks to have slipped down a bit but I would have thought producing it will see this off.

The PCN was served.

Thanks for your help!

I did notice the picture evidence showed the PCN on the windscreen that was not there when I returned to the car, but appreciate that's not likely to matter given it's evidenced in the picture.

So should I appeal on the basis the contravention didn't occur on the basis the evidence shows the details were visible?

I would make a polite challenge as below. The date is clearly visible on the CEO's pic and the location is pretty clear so not sure why the PCN was issued and I assume the very cheap £1 fee is an all-day charge and that no other details are needed at ticket machine such as VRM.

Wait for others to check.

I am challenging the PCN because a valid pay and display ticket was displayed and I can see a picture of it was taken by your CEO that shows the date and location.
But if any details aren't clear I enclose a picture of the ticket.
I look forward to your early confirmation of cancellation.
