TFL PCN in post - yellow box junction
« on: »
Hello!  :)

Just joined the forum and am after some advice please on a TFL-issued PCN I received in the post. Offence is code 31, entering and stopping in a box junction when prohibited.

The offending vehicle was turning left out of a traffic light-controlled junction and could not exit the yellow box due to stationary traffic. TFL have provided three photos as evidence for the offence, attached here. I'm not convinced though that these prove that my vehicle was the one that was stopped in the box - as you can see, you can't read the number plate of the car stopped in the box, only the plate of a car driving on a different section of road. Would be interested in peoples' views of whether this might be grounds for an appeal?

Here are the photos (I didnt seem to be able to attach them here for some reason):

Thanks very much in advance for any advice you can provide!

Sam

I think you need to redact your personal details such as name address.
Regards

Here's the photos:

With regard to the PCN, please repost (all sides) redacting only name & address.

You also need to contact TfL and ask them to send a copy of the viodeo (which is the evidence) and to put the PCN on hold while they send the cd out.

The photos prove nothing, it is their video, (their sole evidence), that should show the transgression and the reg. number of the vehicle. So, no, the photos are not the evidence and that video evidence will only be viewed and assessed at the adjudicators, (London Tribunals),  and I would say the photos, being extracts from the video, are not, therefore, grounds for an appeal.

Hi again, and thanks all for the advice so far!

I have scanned the full PCN and redacted personal details, uploaded here: https://ibb.co/vdDv7qG

For now, I'll request the video from TFL as well and ask them to pause the case.

Thanks all!
