What do you mean tell us more the vehicle was sold by me in may 2025
Yes i sold this vehicle in may.
I owned it since dec 22 - end of feb 2025
I moved house in nov 2022
So you moved house in November 2022, and then bought the car in December 2022. You then kept the car until the end of February 2025. But you say above that the vehicle was sold in May 2025, three months later, so can you see the problem we're having trying to help you ?
According to the bailiff letter, the PCN was served on 21st November 2023, 11 months after you bought the car. Yet you seem to have not received the PCN, and subsequent statutory enforcement documents.
Most cases we see like this, is because the V5C address was not updated, so the PCN and subsequent documents went to the old address where they were not forwarded on. Basically, you need to help us by explaining why you didn't get the PCN and later documents. There would have been three of these documents, (1) the PCN, (2) the Charge Certificate, and (3) the Order for Recovery. It stretches credibility that Royal Mail have lost all three of them.
There is a website specialising in bailiff matters, so it might be beneficial to contact them, (its run by a nice lady called Sheila). They can assist you with preparing an Out-of-Time Staututory Declaration, or a Witness statement). Which one depends on the legislation the PCN was served under.
www.bailiffadviceonline.co.ukWith the bailiff letter dated April 2025, they could be preparing to seize goods to pay the £484 they are demanding. They can seize your current car too. I know it sounds awful, but it may well be best to pay the bailiffs, but see what 'bailiffadviceonline' say, first.
