LB Lewisham - 52M - Leahurst Road - Westbound
« on: »
PCN ZY21249137
Reg LX70ZXY
Date 08/01/26  time 14:35:59
Code 52M Failing to Comply with a prohibition of certain motor vehicles

As the time was close to school pick up times and there a multitude of school streets in the area I was trying to pick a route to avoid restrictions.
I do not feel the signage for this restriction, in amongst all the other restrictions in the local area was sufficient.

We've seen this location quite a few times, but I'm not sure how appeals to London Tribunals worked out. The council obviously say NO to all reps they receive. You could try looking at the London Tribunals statutory register using the location as your search argument.
London Tribunals holds separate statutory registers for appeal cases heard by the Environment and Traffic Adjudicators and the Road User Charging Adjudicators. The registers can be accessed through...

Hi there.

I live in the area and have successfully appealed this spot at the Tribunal in 2024. I think they have updated the signage since then with two signs rather than one. But happy to offer my skeleton argument and learnings.

They have now placed two terminal signs but the advanced signage is still too small as far as I recall from 16 months ago. I have won cases on the previous signs and their appalling website which has now been changed. There is however a technical challenge re the PCN wording.

2. : I make this further collateral challenge:

Payment Options: The PCN fails to clearly offer a "payment by post" option as required for a valid notice of this type.

@Incandescent!

I AM ABLE TO TAKE ON MORE CASES AS A REPRESENTATIVE AT THE LONDON TRIBUNALS. I HATE RETIREMENT.

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.
