Lambeth PCN - 53 J - Pedestrian Zone
« on: »
Good morning all

Recently I was returning home, and although I hadnt driven this road in a while, I turned into Rosendale Road from the South Circular and then into Turney Road, SE21.

I am normally reasonably good at spotting signs, but perhaps having lived here all my life, I missed this completely.

From the pictures and videos, it looks like the sign was obscured or partially obscured. Havent had a chance to go back and check, which I am hoping to do tomorrow.

The help section has advised me to embed images, but I dont seem to have a tool bar (chrome) so not sure if things have changed. I can see an attach button below, so I will see if I can use that to upload the first page.

Anything else needed, please do let me know, and hugely grateful for everyones time.

Edited to add - I have gone up and down on google maps but the images are not current. I think this happened just at the junction of Lovelace Road, but I can not be certain.

Yes checking sign visibility could be useful.

Apologies for the delay. I managed to get to Rosendale Road today. I noticed a first sign that I had missed before I originally came up on the zone. Picture attached.

Then, coming up on the sign, it was a tiny bit obscured by the tree I guess. Video included as well.

I'm guessing this is likley totally on me. But grateful for anyone's advice and if I don't hear back by this weekend, I'll likley look to pay it.

[Edit] I've added the video to my dropbox as I'm really struggling to find a way to add it. I hope that is ok.

Basically, your video shows the signs are clear, so not a video to show an adjudicator !

There are "known knowns" which we may never have wished to know. This applies to them. But in the field the idea that there are also "unknown unknowns" doesn't apply as they hide in the aleatoric lottery. I know this is true and need to be prepared knowing the "unknown unknowns" may well apply.
