Hi all,
Unfortunately received a PCN for being in a bus lane as I entered early over the solid white line for a left turn up ahead, admittedly I was avoiding a couple of cars in the lane.
Had no idea there was a camera and this was at 8.44pm so thought its likely out of operational hours, wrong on both accounts!
Is there any grounds to appeal given I was looking to take the upcoming left turn, all I can see is the solid white line is a little faded and I could argue it wasn't clearly solid at that time of night?
Appreciate any advice, even if the best thing is to just pay up - thanks! Google Maps location: https://maps.app.goo.gl/cv5C5838TcKtCLU19/

Their video shows a clear contravention, although it doesn't show the road ahead much. So please post a GSV link to the exact location so we can assess how far you drove in the bus lane.

I included the GSV image in the original post with a red marking of roughly where I entered and then off to the left, also GSV link is in the post, let me know if you aren't seeing those for some reason?

Sorry, missed that !  So I went into GSV satellite view as the street views are out-of-date, and seeing the white manhole cover and looking at your red line in the GSV view, I reckon you were just under 30 metres in the bus lane. I don't think an adjudicator would consider this as de minimis, especially as you undertake a couple of car in doing so.
So unless a 'technical' appeal is suggested, I don't think it worth taking to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal. Sorry if this isn't what you wanted to hear, but it's best to be honest with these things. Others may disagree with me, so wait a bit to see in anyone else comments, but don't miss the deadline to pay or submit representations.

Thanks Incandescent, I appreciate the honest feedback and I thought this might be the case.
I'll wait a little for any other replies, but will then likely bite the bullet and keep it as a lesson learned!
